Met a handful more people just didn't get photos. Was so busy. Next year will be better now that I know more about the expo and what to look for. Got some free shit, bought some stuff, had a great time though! Busy busy, but was worth it.

I was there Saturday. My buddy was competing in the amateur strongman Classic so we were hanging out near the wheel of pain most of the day watching his events. I made my rounds through the expo but it was insanely crowded. If I go back I’ll do the expo on Friday or Sunday.

Got a lot of free stuff and stuff I’d been wanting from some of the brands I follow on IG. I don’t think I’ll be making this a yearly tradition, but I’ll be back for sure

Couldn’t go a week without the gym so found one worth the drive. Badass place.

I’m not from this town. Usually get to my hometown gym at 3.

Got to this one at 4 and was the first one to turn the lights on. Super cool and old school gym. Iron plates and everything

Man I thought so too but either gyms are getting high or my home gym is just cheap. I called like 4 different gyms within 40 miles and they all wanted $100 for one month until I found this one for $60/month.

    Seems crazy.

Commercial gyms are cheap. The nice ones with “real” equipment are steep. They are usually locally owned so they gotta pay the rent...

I pay $30/mo for Lifetime but I also go to the powerlifting gym downtown which is either $60/mo for unlimited access or $25 for 5 visits. I’m currently on the 5 plan bc I can only get down there about once a week with my current schedule.

I guess the more I get into fitness, the more I appreciate the old school gyms with more dumbbells and free weight area than all the machines.

But that’s good to know it’s not just my area. My current hometown gym which is locally owned is only $35/month cause I’ve had a contract with them for a couple years. If I got a contract with em now, it would be like $50 lol #grandfatheredin

I’ve never been to a powerlifting only gym tho. Sounds pretty sweet.

Jay isn't, but the other guy appears to be, but it's his pointer finger.

Yea, my lady is into more lifting than me, she competes in less than 9 weeks. Undecided on figure or bikini class right now. Since she found a matching suit for both classes she had to get both. She was leaning more to bikini, but she has alot of muscle being 9 weeks away... Who knows at this point, gotta figure it out soon though lol.

That is expensive. I pay $32/month and I thought that was high.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but she is in incredible shape. Damn..how old is she?

I've tried to get my wife into at least basic stuff..she's 57 and wants to drop some pounds. She already eats well but just age happens. Can't stand it, to the point she doesn't want to even be in the room or near me after I lift.

No worries, good or bad comments don't bother me. I'm proud as hell of her either way! When we first met she was practically anorexic weighing 95 pounds. I'm glad I can say I helped her find herself and get back to a healthy lifestyle.

    She's 25. I am 28, almost 29.

It's tough to get the other half involved sometimes. My ex was like that.. real hit and miss on the lifestyle and it got to the point I moved on (not saying that's what you should do). My recommendation would be to have an honest, calm, open conversation about what she thinks about the lifestyle. What has her feeling that way? What has you feeling that way? Something has to be triggering those thoughts and you need to get to the bottom of it sooner or later as it will have a severe impact on your health and stress. Just my 2 cents :)
