    Haven’t done it myself, just bought a replacement and sold the orig, but I believe most just rough it up, prime it, sand it some as necessary, then paint it

    Fun fact, the Warn VR-8S winch's control box doesn't work with the ARB Deluxe without a custom mount, so I'm getting a Warn M8000 with synthetic rope installed instead

    I have the VR-8S and the control box would not work with my Bumper. I moved it under the hood with a adapter plate. Keep the remote plugged into it so no need for cable. Remote fob stys in the glovebox.
