Bought this set from Down-South Motor because it seemed like a good sale and I have a twitchy trigger finger. I don't do enough off-roading in my DailyDriver '01 to constitute coil-over prices but I wonder what their advantage is over the shocks I just bought. Isn't the double-wishbone in my 1st-gen an OEM non-adjustable coil-over? Isn't this shock set more convenient for me to start with since I can change the coils for OME 2882 or 2883s later if I get armour?

Don't care for leveling, looking for on/off-road comfort and performance.
Sorry if I missed a thread that covers this, I searched for a while. Thanks!

Correct, your truck currently has non-adjustable coilovers.

Theones you linked are also coil overs, just adjustable, and not pre-assembled. And yes, it is more convenient because you can swap springs and preload adjustment. This set should do great for you uses based on what you describe

Thanks! That helps a lot but I still wonder what the higher-price built coil-overs are for, I guess they're expected to be for higher performance needs?
