Well, I frankenstein'd this together over the past week...two 4" LED 18W Pod Lights with an in-line dimmer with wireless remote control! I wanted lighting for the bed, but didn't want to have anything permanent. This give me options to mount to the frame of my Bestop or on some kind of free-standing tripod/pole.

I recently added a 12v outlet to my bed cubby, so this would be the perfect accessory for camping, tailgating, task lighting, or maybe even ditch lights! I have very limited knowledge of wiring, but this was only red and black wires and crimps so I took my best shot.

The dimmer and remote appear to be the same type as the ones used for LED strip lighting. The remote powers the lights on/off, presets at 100%, 50%, 25%, and also dims or brightens with the + and - buttons. The bottom 4 buttons will produce different strobe patterns and speeds! They're connected with 2-pin Deutsch DT Connectors (same used for most LED pod lights) so that I can remove the dimmer if needed, or just use one light pod or use both.

Here are photos of the light output:

I admit I bought cheap lights and cheap components, but if this didn't work I wouldn't feel so bad. Also, if the pods didn't dim or burns out I won't be out much money.
