    Made a trip to my burnt Tacoma today and was able to get my bed supports out of the ruble. A bit of cleaning and a quick heat treat then paint. Thanks again for the supports @Bentrodder

    Yeah, no kidding. I heard the Barlow in Sebastopol was under as well. Record year for sure. We'll bounce right back though. Mother nature teaches us valuable lessons without breaking us.

    Question for all you salt dogs-
    I’m having some work on my truck done currently and would like to get your opinions.
    Currently sitting at a little under 1k for :

    Tranny fluid swap;

    Right front hub and bearing replacement;

    Installation of rear break lines and brake bleed

    Diagnose and “clear” right speed sensor code (track control and abs light on) I guess using a special reader since it didn’t appear thru OBD code reader.
    Not sure if they actually needed to clear anything as these two lights turned off while driving to the shop after I cleaned both sensors Sunday.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Not enough to have a build thread.
    Given the labor rates of california are pretty high, doesnt sound like too bad of a deal. Just make sure they use quality parts and not the cheapest they can find.

    Maybe do the tranny fluid and brake line install/bleed yourself. Lower the price. If I can do it anyone can.

    Thanks for the response David.
    I have confidence in this shop, although I’ve never had work done there.
    Hearing your perspective puts my mind at ease a little more.

    yeah, like the others said, thats about right and to make sure you are getting some quality parts. thats roughly what we would have charged at the shop i worked at too.

    That was the plan for Break line/ bleed,
    But I tried doing it last week with the tires on and the inside wheel wells didn’t allow clearance to open bleeder valve.
    And I don’t have an impact/ driver so I’m tire ironing every time a wheel comes off and goes on- got old quick.

    Tranny flush indimidated me, but would have been up to try it.
    I opted to have them knock it out so I can spend time with my family-
    My girl is more inclined to let me go wheeling/ camping so long as I’m not spending every weekend doing shit to it.

    I guess I’m also paying for the convenience.
