Looking for a little local knowledge...
I'll be spending several days along the Rimrocker trail in September. I'll be towing a 27' travel trailer and using that as base camp with daily excursions out on the trail. Plan right now is to park the trailer in Naturita but wondering if there are places along the trail that I can easily get in/out of with the trailer in tow so we don't have to stay in town.

Did most of the rim rocker last October in an afternoon and a morning. Wasn't overly impressed with most of the CO side of the trail, the UT portion was much prettier, with more opportunities for side trips. Look into staying at Buckeye reservoir. You can get a trailer in there, and you're close to the more scenic portions of the trail.

That looks really nice. All of the dates in September that have been "released" for reserving are still wide open so it looks like getting a spot that time of year should be easy. I appreciate the tip ! !

You can get a trailer to Buckeye Res, but not via the Rim Rocker, It's steep and rough getting out of Unaweep canyon though fun.
I did the Moab to Co141 side last September (I've seen much of the other side in years past, before the trail existed).
Its a decent trail, mostly well marked. I got a bit of bush pin stripping (mostly buffed out).
Agree with the above, the Utah side in the La Sal mountains is the prettiest part of the trail.

After looking at several sites about Buckeye Campground and looking at maps, I think the plan would be to leave Naturita on CO-90, then 5.75 Rd in Paradox to U5 Rd, Forest Rd 0371 and finally Buckeye Campground Rd. The US Forest Service calls this the "Best Route".
