So I just bought a 2019 TRD Off-Road. It's my first truck. I want to get more clearance but I am definitely not ready to void a warranty. Will bigger tires help? If so how big should I go (no serious off road stuff )

If you rarely off road skip the 255s they are HEAVY and you will notice it in mpg and drivability. A stock size tire or one size bigger in an all terrain would most likely suit your needs

Tires & wheels can probably lift you a little bit, but I'd recommend you search the forums for that.. There are literally hundreds of threads with people asking what's the biggest tire they can run on stock suspension.

Other people will comment on the warranty, so I won't touch that.

Lastly, ask your dealer if they'd lift your truck and preserve your warranty. Plenty of dealerships do aftermarket suspension/lifts on new vehicles. You're going to pay a huge dealership penalty for doing work with them, and yeah, dealerships are uneven in their quality... but that's at least a path to consider.

You must go bigger tires to improve clearance.

Heh. You are right. I made certain assumptions... One was that "clearance" just meant "lift" or "height" to the OP.

This is true. 255/85R16 are heavy being E load but he only asked for clearance and not mpg so that wasn't factored in my recommendation.

Okay I am going to ask it. If you don’t off road serious then why worry about the clearance? Just bump up on tire size and you won’t need to trim or cab mount chop. A nice AT like KO2’s or Duratracs will give you an extra inch of clearance.
These trucks are very capable trucks left stock with a decent tire.

Yeah. I assume it's because when you park next to even a modestly lifted truck, we all start to feel... smaller.

I agree 265/75r16 tires on stock rims are the cheapest way to go (duratracs, K02, Nitto -- something with a beefy aggressive-looking tread). And they're like an inch larger in diameter than stock. So a little lift.
