So looking at some youtube videos says relay should have a diagram to indicate circuit 30, 85, 86 and 87, but after pulling mine out from my 2003 tacoma base cab 2.4 there is no diagram. How do I test this relay? I have no power on cigar lighter and outlets including radio. Dome light yes. I already checked fuses and are good.

It should tell you what pins are what in your electrical wiring diagrams for your truck .

Which you should have doing all the Electrical work you are.

The 2 nickle blades are the coil the 2 copper are the contacts

Use a 12VDC power supply to energize the coil your contacts will pull in if every thing is working

used fused jumper leads to protect things if there is a problem

Im a novice. Maybe Should stay away from electronics. No diagram. Only thing I found was below which I can barely understand. I guess i could go to autozonee and see if new relay has diagram as maybe mine faded...

this is the diagram you need for the Power outlets.

pin 5 power all the time
pin 1 appears that only has power with the key in the accessory position.
pin 3 goes to power outlets.
    pin 2 to ground.

it appears that the power outlets only work with the key in the ACC position? odd if that is how it works.

at least the 01-04 are designed this way. without the key in ACC there is no power to the outlets (any of the 3)

I actually prefer this method over "always on"

Its 4 pin. Ciruit tester light turns on for one of copper pins. Other copper does clicking, but not constant. Other 2 nickel pins light does not turn on. Going to see if autozone has this part to test new power outlet

    OP,
There is a mod you can do to make the outlets hot with the ignition off. Try that 1st to verify there aren't any other issues before purchasing a new part.

    EDIT:
    Here is mine:

It's alive! There is now power on regular sockets. I messed with some cables (push in) and now there is light. Cables under shifter covered in velcro/foam so couldnt see harnest. That or just a miracle.

Gosh dang it, I wanted you to fix it. But at least it's fixed. What'd he find? A connector unplugged? Bad ground? Curious minds want to know.

My dad will show what wires were cut on Saturday so ill update then. As of today i got power on lower 2 power sockets either by luck or the 2 harness i pointed at in the pic above. Hope it stays that way when re-assembled.
