I've had my main tools and sets for 15+ year. So i got them before the internets existed. I've had very good luck using Amazon for tools I need to buy and I trust reading the reviews. My sockets are Craftsman set from 20 years ago. My wrenches are gearwrenches sets from about 15+ years ago. And then a different size pry bar set would be good. I'll all bet that stuff is online for cheap now too. Like on Amazon they have some brands for hand tools I hadn't used and they are good quality and great price point too

How many people here have changed UBJ’s with the spindle still attached to the truck?

I just memba'ed that pawn shops are a great place to get tools. Quality tools won't matter that they're used. MUCH better value buying used. I got my corded Milwaukee Sawzall anf my mitutoyo calipers and micrometer at a pawnshop. Lots of things to get at pawnshops man, save SO much money

Invest in a sawzall and some carbide blades. Dont fight with the leaf bolt or u bolts if theyre rusty. Cut them and move on to the next one, youll save a lot of time that way.

I grew up in Norfolk/Va Beach until 11 years old I guess. That was until late eighties, went to Green Run elementary and Parkway elementary lmao. We were at the beach EVERY DAY during summer break from school. Beautiful fun beaches and warm water man.

Especially in December: the "I need Christmas money" rush hits. Guns and tools are plentiful in mid-late December at any pawn shop.

I went back for 6 months about 2 years ago now, that's when/where I bought my taco actually and worked property management/maintenance, my mom and her husband own a small apartment complex down in Ocean View. And they have a house on Willowby Spit on the ocean side that I unfortunately had to live in, rent free and on beach, poor lil ol me, I know. It was such a fun summer, worked my friggin ass off but I loved it
Edit: almost moved there too, couldn't do it with most of my family here though
