    hey,

Does anyone have any suggestions as to who could assist me?

I am trying to get this bed bolt off but it was stripped. The other 5 came out easy. This one didn’t have good threads and I made it worse. I am guessing it was tried previously. I’d like to align my bed to the cab to make my cap sit flush but I have tried everything and can’t get this out.

I am near the top of the 51 and 101 but would travel to a mechanic or person

Take a pipe wrench around the outside of the bolt and loosen it that was or big vise grips

Edit: I could help but I’m in peoria 101 and bell

I tried that but still couldn’t get it to break. I drive that way to and from work if you think you could get it.

Dremel down to opposite sides to make an edge that vice grips/pipe wrench can grab. Or weld a nut on top of it and get out the breaker bar.

Torx extractors, got some at pepboys. Smash the correct size in and turn it.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
In the future, try to extract it, or tack weld a 3/4” nut to the top and take it off with a socket.

We did the old pipe wrench around the out side of the bolt head trick to extract completely. There wasn’t much meat left inside to use extractors. Tack welding a nut on was a last resort option and I think these bed bolts might be aluminum so that wouldn’t of worked well.
