I prefer barefoot women.

 

I really can't complain. She goes tent camping in 9* weather with me. She shoots guns. Spends countless hours trout fishing with me. Doesnt think anything of it when I say we are going off road in and camping on a 200 mile loop and we will be 60 miles from the closest 30 person town.

So I can deal with the small things because I'm sure I do a bucket load of stuff that pisses her of too

How do you and StayinStock know each other?

 

At times I miss it, was married almost 25 years. She decided to "go find herself" and I paid her off to keep the house and boys. Cost me a lot and was crushed at first. I liked being married.

Took a couple of years but finally got over feeling sorry for myself. And life is damn good, go hunting and fishing when ever I want and do what I want. Demographics and location put me in a target rich environment. Just trying to stay out of the trap and screw up a good thing now. Besides I have too many pairs of boots in the closet to give up space for someone else shoes.

Guess I always cooked for the most part despite the Ex not working but now I cook what I want.

Monday night shoveled off the deck to get to the grill. No I wasn't going to dork around with charcoal at zero degrees.






Cheddar bacon brats. Cheddar bacon stuffed portabellas. Medium spiced pork sausage. With cherry wood smoke. Food for the week.

Then some sirloin for the son and a bacon wrapped capsteak for me. With cherry wood smoke.



Twas good. Cooked some bacon, onions and mushrooms to go with it. 133° internal temp on the capsteak for Medium Rare.



Most of the sausage is still left. So cut up an onion and sauteed in butter. Beef base with water. Baby carrots. Peas, corn, nature seasoning. Some thyme from my plant and a few bay leaves. Cut up the rest of the sausage.



Will simmer for another hour should take me through the weekend. When I ask a lady friend if she wants to come over for dinner have yet to have one say no. Hell most will even do the dishes before I can get to them. Not that I am complaining.
