Didn’t my springs come with an arch?

    Was looking around underneath looking at what I want to cut, gusset, etc. noticed my springs are arching the other way.

    Bed has maybe 50lbs in it. 30k on truck.

    Mine definitely aren't arched the other way but they are pretty much flat. I don't think that's uncommon with lighter duty vehicles.

    ditto. it's a bit unsettling after the Savana. the main leaf was about 5/8" thick.

    Q: is there a TSB out for 3rd Gen? I had the dealer do my 2011 and he said it was a $1,700 job cost to Toyota.

    Take a look at an old Ford F-250. One with twin I beam. Springs are inverted stock from factory. Spring does not need an arch. Just depends on design

    Guess I have only really looked at aftermarket leaves and see how much arch those have.

    Would a flat leaf pack provide the "softest" ride quality? It'd already be at kind of an equalibrium point. :tinfoilhat:

    seriously, though . . . when the dealer put on my helper springs, even with a leer raised roof cap, the truck did not ride well. stick in 350#, rode like a cadi-fricken-llac. my 19 with factory reverse ellipses drive in the snow like it's on rails. squat 'n' all, just hugs the ground. i'll probably get heliwig helpers at some point, but in doing so be mindful of the unstableness "over-springing" can manifest.

    Nice. I’m happy with the rear height wise. I want to get more flex eventually and might relocate shocks and get some different hangers.
