New member, but I've been reading here a while. I finally sold my 2003 Ranger which I owned for 13 yrs. Picked up a 2019 OR 6MT a week ago in NOVA, packed it up, and drove to Anchorage (PCS to JBER). This truck is an exponential improvement; and coming from no cruise control, to adaptive was game changing. For anyone who hasn't driven the ALCAN, it's the best drive in North America! As soon as I close on my house and have a garage, the tinkering will begin.

May be time for a phone(camera) upgrade as well...

I made the drive from Homer AK to Petaluma CA in 2001 and it was a fantastic trip! Such beauty along the route

Thanks. Military alphabet soup doesn't even register most of the time.

Anchorage is a nice town, and a great place to start to see so many things.

Welcome to TW! Best drive in North America! Done it 3 times so far and would do it again in a heartbeat. Our most recent trip a few years ago in the 4Runner. I was up at JBER as well. Check out 907 Yotas if it’s still a thing up there and also the group Ordinary Overland does some great trips up there. Shoot me any questions you may have!
