Anyone else notice that there is almost no sound coming out of their rear speakers?

Yes, fader adjusted towards rear so that I can hear them. That adjustment then requires higher volume settings. This is in an Access Cab.

Yes I thinks it's typical. I have nice JBL speakers back there and I can barely hear them. It's probably ok for rear passengers though.

Same here, very disappointing... really a cheap dual stereo system as occupants only hear the closest set of speakers.

I guess non of you know about true stereo sound. The sound stage is always supposed to be in front of you. The rear are just fill so if by chance someone is sitting back there they will hear them. The subwoofer freaks in the 80s and 90s changed the scene with the DB sound contests for loudness. But you should always hear the vocals if you close your eyes dead center front. But to answer the question yes this is normal in these trucks.

Agreed, just forget the rears you dont want any staging or high frequencies coming from behind you really. Put a sub in the back and use the back for fill and bass.

Thanks for this information. I always thought my taco JBL system might have been defective.

Additional question. Does the front speakers (door speakers) provide bass mainly? I can only hear vocals coming from the dash speakers. I was curious as to how a trucks speaker systems operates.

I guess I'm dialed into my previous car that's why I'm wondering the differences.

Bass is down low so the doors will be mostly mid and bass. Highs up up on dash. Sit and shut your eyes. Put on a good classic song. Not this new techno bass crap. You should hear the vocals dead center like its sitting on your dash. You should not be able to tell where the bass is coming from. That's how it should be.

Go sit back there, it's probably a different world of sound.
