    I need opinions

How do you feel with the idea of driving 3hours to meet a group, then wheel the whole day, and finish the run 4hours away? @Bocsy44

Imo: it's far, but after Tw, the only great group close enough in my province to wheel with. There are a few runs a little closer but that one is the first of the year, where I could introduce myself to the group and learn...

    Thoughts?

AOAA is 3 hours for me, about 4 hours for @UntamedTaco and we do day trips all the time. It makes for a long day but it’s worth it for wheeling.

    Hi Louis!
I am older now and while I wish I could do what Randy says, I feel like I could be endangering myself or others on the road home. When I was younger I was fine and would drive long distances all the time. As I've gotten older I tend to get very tired towards the end of the day driving home from work, and that is only an hour and a half, sometimes a hour. I'm still going to do these runs but I plan on camping overnight and driving home the next day after a good nights sleep. I am actually going to buy a cap to use to sleep in. It's the most basic and easy option, that I can take advantage of even when not camping so the cost can be justified in my book. Unlike a overland trailer with a RTT, or a RTT on the truck. A ground tent is not completely out of the question but I think a cot in the bed with a mid high cap will be best.

I know what you mean! I am considering sleeping there and make the drive home the day after if I am too tired. I am young but I do feel tired for an hour drive after work too lol i still have time to think about it tho. I will look at my sleeping option in that area since its in april, the nights are still cold af lol

I would think you'd be good down to about 5 degrees C. !!!!! I mean, in a sleeping bag of course. But there is lodging nearby at any of the ORV parks here. Would be nice to hit up the lounge at the Ol' Comfort Inn and let someone else pour the drinks and cook the meals and then retire to a nice king size bed after a hot shower!!!

But I think with the right setup you could manage an overnighter in a ground tent. I am shopping for a decent cot and sleeping bag now. Costco has sleeping bags fairly cheap. I don't need a special cot. I want it to sit over the wheel well and be wide enough to hold me laying flat. I am shorter than most people so I don't need anything deluxe. :D

I decided 20 stacked washers was a bit rough, even for me. So I bought a 3/8”x1” steel sleeve spacer thing and put heat shrink over it to make it black (thanks @boogie3478 for the idea from your vid with @Rome604). Looks much better.

Looks OEM now! I bet the spacer is aluminum too so no chance of rust.

I agree. Assess your level of tired at the end of the day and decide to stay or drive. I've fallen asleep at the wheel before and waking up facing the ground isn't fun.
