I almost ended my mileage a couple of years ago while surf fishing at Amelia Island state park. I drove out tot the point and was fishing and the tide started coming in really fast. I threw all of my fishing equipment in the back in about three minutes, started driving off the beach and headed towards the parking lot., I drove the last 600 feet watching the tide come in on the beach, the waves back down the beach and then got on the gas for another few feet. Almost had a Toyota submarine. Thankfully the sand held firm enough and long enough for me to get out, but at one point drove through about 6" of water. Headed home and rinsed the under carriage off for an hour then threw a sprinker hose under it and let it go for a couple of hours. No problem.

Too much? No, but generally those bulbs get really hot, so if they make contact with anything it’ll melt. Condensation could also be an issue. Check your rubbel seals that hold your lights in place.

    Btw mine are sylvanias

Thanks I'm probably over thinking it, but Im sure everything will end up fine.

When you say the brake lines might be a pain are you saying just moving the ABS wire out of the way might be difficult?

Watch for sales, got mine for $78 last November, just before I ordered, there was another 10% off, so it worked for me. Ordered it through Don Jacobs Toyota in Milwaukee.

Thanks I had the Sylvania Silverstar as I recall. I never had cracks in my old headlights until I noticed them when I went to have them cleaned. IO just wondered if there was too much heat build up. Again maybe its the sun here as my truck faces the east all day Never had any condensation problems. I have new headlights now so I guess I'll get a set of the new Sylvanias and put them in.
