I've been in trouble a fair amount in my life, and I always remembered my Dad telling me to be nice when your busted because it's your only hope. That doesn't mean I admit everything I did depending on the situation, but the report always mentions I was respectful and cooperative :anonymous:

My dad was a cop, never admit a dam thing, just be respectful and pleasant. When your screwed, your screwed just need to figure out how make it hurt the least.

It’s worked for me twice. Just be polite, don’t hassle or complain and chances are you’ll be in decent shape. Worked at the courthouse too when I had to contest a ticket

That's what I did when I got my truck back with the new frame, I made sure I coated the outside of my frame before I put my sliders back on, to prevent rust.

Man, I can't wait for it to warm up a bit, so I can finally wash my truck, since it is covered with salt.

I contacted my friend who would help to run a hot water line outside so I can wash the salt off anytime I want

Brush fire today, have a lot of stuff to get rid of from where we cleared for the house. Not sure we will be able to burn through it between the 10-4 allowed time though. Might be a two day, but hopefully just one. Having an excavator to move the pile into the fire is a huge help, I will say that!

I usually play dumb, helps me get out of tickets. Last time I argued with a cop, it's because he pulled me over for not wearing a seatbelt even though I had been.

Hm, that Diablo wasn't there the last time I went...
But I am glad to see that they still have that E-Type, the black paint on it is perfect.

Last time I argued with a cop, he claimed that he had me on radar at 87mph in a loaded down 3/4 ton Cummins Dodge. Not that the truck wasn't capable of that, but I was on a marathon road trip with two hours of sleep in the previous 48, hauling a load of my sisters stuff home from UVM and had the cruise set at a reasonable 70 from the time I had left Burlington, VT. He tagged a little coupe that blew by me as we came over the crest of a hill but refused to give up on me until I offered to play back my recorded GPS trace from the entire trip.

I met the owner today. Really chill dude. My cousin actually works there. But they buy and sell cars all the time. While we were there he was bidding on cars from the Amelia auction. But the e-type is just gorgeous. I think that and the porsche 918 are my top 2

Warm enough for a bath today! Did my wife's car too which she drove to Patriot Place and put a fresh coat of salt on. Oh well, it was clean for 10 min.

I didn't even know there was a museum in Newport. I used to spend a bunch of time down there when I was in college as I had a few friends at Salve. I'd love to see a Diablo in person again. It's such a poster on my wall growing up car, although I will say the roadster option looks a little more awkward than I remember. When I was at the NE Auto Show they had an original Superbird and Cobra which were absolutely beautiful.
