That's crazy man, 16.5hrs for a couple bumpers and lights? There is no way, to me, that that makes any sense, no matter how you think about it, man. A shop who has just about any tool under the sun should be able to install everything for wayyyy less. Jeez.. I still can't believe that. I did mine myself with my brother at my house, I definitely suggest a second or even third pair of hands, not because it's difficult, but because of the weight & size. Otherwise, real straight forward install! I just can't understand this quote, does this include anything other than bumper & lights install? Yeeshh.. My suggestion, take your business elsewhere :notsure:

Why on earth would you go ARB. That is an ugly ass bumper. All the custom plate bumpers you can get and you are going ARB. Oh well..... you rig your ride.

Then again I bought a KIA........ but sold it right away and got a Highlander.

    COME ON............... an ARB.

    Shakes head and leaves laughing.

Come on now, everyone has their right to an opinion, but don't sh*t on someone just cause you don't like their bumper choice.. that's a bit childish. @MontanaTacoTruck , I say go for what you want man, it's YOUR truck and YOUR money. Don't let anyone else side-wind you. I'm just suggesting either doing the install yourself with a couple buddies, or a find a shop where you can work with them on it, or at least watch. That way you knoww how long it will really take. But honestly, I got both mine installed in about 2 hours, and the first hour was by myself. So there is no reason it should take more than an hour or 2 if you have another helping pair of hands or two. Keep us posted! I'm definitely excited to see what you decide!

The ARB may not be the prettiest, but it has the most engineering and testing, and as an engineer, function > form, and that to me is pretty heh heh

I am not in construction, if i was i would just buy basic adequate equipment for my vehicles. because in a few years those vehicles will need replaced anyways, why waste good money for quality ARB bumpers for work trucks.

This is my main ride and I want it to look just the way i want and perform just the way i need.

No worries if we take everything everyone says personally then well you know........ Life is too short to sweat the small stuff, everyone has their own opinions and preferences that they are entitled to.

So you are a land development engineer... does that fall under civil engineering? The fundamentals are the same I would assume, but I do have a mechanical degree... I engineer vehicles professionally.

What I was saying as an engineer I prefer function to form... I get how the ARB may not be the prettiest.. but the fact that it was engineered and tested makes it sexy to me. Now of course tons of other aftermarket bumpers are great, and perform well. ARB has the benefit of being so large they can devote resources to doing animal strike testing, while other shops, who make great stuff , just don't have the resources to devote to testing. A bunch of extra steel makes up for it.

But basically yeah it has been tested... So it has been proven. So in that sense it is more functuonal. Some others would probably test to the same level as ARB and others may not, we don't know.
