    I’m looking into building my own plate bumper for my 1st gen double cab. I work in an aluminum fab shop and have access to whatever material I need. I’m wondering from those guys with aluminum bumpers what thickness of material is used? How does the bumpers hold up vs a steel bumper? Thanks

    I would look at a company you like and see what they use. Super jealous you have access to whatever you want. I think most are 1/4” for winch mounting area and skin 3/16”
