It’s snug but not overly tight. I’ve since bent the bracket a little bit to give it even more slack. That was one of the few little things I did to dial in the back end so I wouldn’t have any issues.

Yep, took care of the e brake cable, gave my +4 brake lines a little more slack with a 1” spacer underneath where the bracket bolts to the axle, swapped my shackle bushings with polyurethane ones, and will add limit straps here in the next few weeks.

Tell me more.... I have a pair of the subi speakers sitting in the basement I was going to install tomorrow. The plug and play is what was so appealing. Others in the subi thread said that few other options fit the mounting locations.

I'm a complete audio n00b but figured I'd give it a shot since it got so many positive comments.

Saw this in the 'dena on my way home. Looked real clean. Interior looked nice too but could get a picture.

If you want plug and play, there are very few options. Using a 3.5" coax speaker will take some wiring knowledge and you will have to make small brackets to mount them. To make them plug and play in my 4Runner, I just removed the wiring connector off the OEM tweeters, desoldered the capacitor so that was no longer in the circuit, soldered new wires to the output side and put my capacitor where I wanted it. Basically used the OEM plug to make the new speakers plug and play so no modification to the wiring was required.

    Bummer, Thanks anyways guy!

I’m 100% happy with the subi speakers, they’re a huge upgrade over stock and keeps everything Kicker in the truck. I wasn’t looking to shake the earth, just good, loud, quality sound for summertime cruising with the windows down and these for sure delivered.

@EatSleepTacos @twheat40 and I did some things to the UntamedTaco today. New Dakar medium duty leafs, Bilstein B110 5100 rear shocks, carrier bearing drop, extended brake lines and last but not least the Dobinsons Snorkel.
