I'm honestly really bad at searching topics on this site, if you even respond with another thread I'll appreciate it

I'm looking for the best prices 2-3" full suspension lift for my 16' sport RWD. I've looked at alot of options on google and I just want to know which brand/s are best bang for your buck and which ones to stay away from

Kings, Icons and Fox will be your best bet. Stay away from Rough country or any spacer lift. Really depends on your budget though.... If you're on a budget OME or bilsteins are reputable low cost brands.

Ok thank you, exactly what I needed to know. Do I have to get a RWD kit or would 4x4 work as well?

You'll have to wait till someone with a Tacoma chimes in on that. I have an FJ Cruiser so I'm not too sure, just know the brands :)

I have a 17' Sport RWD and I'll likely be doing the OME/Dakar/5100 setup for mine. It obviously doesn't make sense to spend 3k on suspension for a 2WD truck that will only see fire roads and equivalent.

Are you doing OME in the front, and Dakar in the back? What about a differential drop kit?

Yes OME Coils up front, Dakar leaf pack out back, 5100s all around, probably the driveshaft drop spacer to keep geometry, and possibly UCAs just for ease of alignment

Just to clarify...OME and Bilstein both make kits that are as expensive as Kings and Fox

Bilstein 5100s or the 6112/5160 combo are reasonably priced though, as are the OME Nitrocharger kits.

It’s 2” with the “light load” springs, but I chose the “medium load” springs for 2.5” (actually 2.75”, maybe they will settle to 2.5”?) Price is the same.
    2” in the rear.
I also paid extra to have them assemble the struts prior to delivery. I got them delivered to my door in 4 business days and free shipping. Just contact @eevaldes (Eric), he is the manager of Mainline Overland.
Very happy with my setup, very happy with the ride, very happy with the price!

    Hey!

Definitely take a look at the Dobinsons suspension system available for your Taco. Aussie made coils and big twin tubes make for a really great ride on and off road as well. We also offer our GTS kit which features black shocks and red coils if you prefer that better.

Check out this link for the full system: https://www.mainlineoverland.com/co...cts/dobinsons-2-0-lift-kit-toyota-tacoma-2016

This link for the quick ride kit: https://www.mainlineoverland.com/pr...-2-0-light-load-front-and-quick-ride-rear-kit

Let me know if you have any questions!

Call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and ask about the @ChadsPride special.

On a 2wd a spindle lift is all you need since you're not building a LT desert racer.

And if you start off with tires 2" taller, 1" of your lift is already done.

Used to have 2011 pre runner. All I can say is spindle lift . Do a research. Best looking lift for pre runners . You can also use your stock front coilovers. You need to buy rear add a leaf and wheel spacers though if you don't have aftermarket wheels. Looks sexy with 33 inch tires.

If you're 2WD you don't have a front diff to drop.

    A few.
PapaRee, Sorry to go off topic a little but I noticed you have a black sport. Did you change those fender flares or have them painted or wrapped?
