Good to know. I just placed my order through Jegs so hopefully I can get this fixed for good. Seems promising.

That's awesome. I'm looking forward to getting it installed once it comes in. I went ahead and also ordered a new U joint to go ahead and replace the one I have to remove anyway. Figured it wouldn't hurt.

Got my carrier bearing installed. Been playing with spacer sizes and still get a vibration. What size spacer did you finally end up with?

If you figure it out, let me know. I’m still chasing a vibration.

Ahh, yes. Offroad's are short beds that is right. Short beds may require some sort of relocation of mounting from what I remember.

So I think I’ve got the spacers dialed in at around 2.55 inches. With that length it gives me about a 1/4 inch drop from stock and gets my front and rear portion of the drive shaft at about .5 degree difference, the rear being the steeper angle of the two.

I’m still however getting vibration from about 40mph onward, as if the drive shaft is out of balance. All I replaced was the middle u joint and the carrier bearing. Anyone else experiencing this or have some advice?

    A thing or two...
Did you bolt the yoke back on out of phase? That will mess up your driveshaft balance. Also, put it in 4hi when you're feeling the vibes. If they go away, you need to do the ECGS needle bearing replacement in your front diff.

The yoke is bolted up in phase. Made marks prior to disassembly and lined those up. It is possible my rear half of the drive shaft could be 180 degrees off though. I'll have to double check my markings.

As far as the front diff is concerned, I did the test you're talking about and the sound is still there. This vibration is brand new and wasn't present the day before I did the carrier bearing swap so it makes me think I can isolate all vibrations to the rear drive shaft.

I wouldn't. No reviews, no real description of materials and origin. Lots of counterfeit car parts on Amazon. The few bucks you stand to save aren't worth the risk of having to do the job again pretty quickly if it turns out a POS in my humble opinion

No, I swooped up an almost brand new OEM drive shaft from a guy who got a 6" lift and one piece DS on local CL. I just shimmed it down with stacks of washers to get the angle right. Check out the TREMEC app. Angle finder on your phone. That's what I used.
I'm going to wait until this one goes bust to install the IEDLS bearing.

Doubt they'll do this buy again because the part fits the new rangers. Would be nice if they made one spefic for our tacos though.
