Ok so want to do a lift, new grill, tires / wheels on 2018 Tacoma sport
Dealer tells me they can’t sell or even give me a price for Pro wheels or grill
Toyota trying to control selling that to non pro owners. Fuck them. My question is this: when I do all this somewhere else and god forbid I get in a accident all the non factory stuff won’t be replaced. Do I need to contact insurance agent to get all that covered? How would that work.

Depends on the company and policy type. The insurance agent can go over all that with you.

Certain insurance policies cover aftermarket parts. Have 3k extra coverage on truck, Had 15K on jeep. If you buy Toyota parts they are still aftermarket. Buy real aftermarket parts, better and far more options. Plus your truck wont look like everyone elses

take pictures of all mods, save every receipt for all parts you've installed . then if anything happens you have proof that the parts where on the truck . when you file a claim its the insurance adjusters job to low ball you at first but you don't have to accept their offer. stick to a fair replacement price and you should be good .
