What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Phase 1: Complete!

Just installed my suspension lift! Bilstein 6112 coil overs fronts on the 5th clip- 6150’s with Remotes rear, and OME medium duty leafs.


Purchased from Rogue Off Rode: Bilstein Stage 4. Great pride, not so great customer service.


Perfectly level - and provided the room for some 285/70 R17 BFG KO2’s and Method MR308’s!

Removed outside badges - and put my State 48 sticker on.

Couldn’t be more happy with the look, and ride. (It’s stiff but it should be)


Phase 2:

Ditch lights (still deciding on brand), rock sliders (purchased from AVID), skid plates maybe from Tacomabeast.com.


Then I am going to take a wallet breather and play around for a while.

 

TRD CAI went in and @SOS CONCEPTS
sliders went on.

 

Can you give me some info on the brackets and lights. I haven’t been able to find anything I like so far.

 

Did you do this yourself? How difficult?

 

Overall a great looking truck. Hard to find one in that great of shape. It’s a keeper.

I am about to install a 32” led light bar using the Cali raised lower bumper mounts. Does anyone who has done this AND kept the plastic air diverters by trimming them instead of removing them have any pictures of how they trimmed the plastic pieces?

 

Nicely done. I’m planning of installing the TRD air intake soon, how hard was the installation?

Yeah that's a kit, seems a bit more clean, professional and OEM. One I read was some guy spliced the wires of 1 half and soldered it other half so both turned on when he braked.

 

Busy day, started off getting the Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws put on. The tire shop managed to break a rpms sensor. Will have to deal with that next week. Then it was off to pick up my new sliders and have them installed. Finally put some vinyl down on the tailgate. I think it turned out ok for a first try.

 

Thank you for the picks! I was worried about a snorkel interfering with the ditch lights. Now I know it doesn’t.

 

Was SLAMMED with of all things INFLUENZA! Spent a night in the ER and IV and Tamiflu I finally felt better enough today to do some installs!

Put on the Diamondback HD...will need to do the gasket and silicone but it is going to be way cold for a few months so will deal with the water intrusion from the front.

FINALLY installed the DMM from @FreshMexicanTaco and while I struggled a bit, seeing his video made it work out great!

Replaced the stock low beams for GE Megalight Ultra +130....and OMG what a difference!

 

Installed some @TOTAL CHAOS bed stiffeners. Super solid product.

 

This is actually pretty interesting. How much did you you have to modify the Gen2 mount to work on a Gen3 w/ the auto dimming mirror?

 

Thank God for Tamiflu and the ER folks.....two IV's and bedrest. I still have the cough but that will stay for a bit.
