Here is a pic of the prototype can from Silencerco at SHOT. No name as of yet. basically a modular hybrid. Short config is close to a omega 9K length. felt a tad bit heavier than my omega but closer to saker and chimera in full config but take that with a grain of salt.

Awesome! What mount options does it have? Is the mount changeable?

Mount is interchangeable. ASR, Keymo, direct thread, fixed mount and pistol mount.

Cousin called and he’s going to be pulling the trigger on an Obsisian 9, pretty excited for him to start the process so next year he can get his hands on it and send me videos.

Im hoping Silencerco will be doing another good black friday deal this year and include their SPEQ program. Saving up to pay cash for a can or three.
Im looking for one for M&P 15-22, one for Evo 3, and one for M&P 15.

The Switchback and Omega 9K are really good options, I don’t know about their 556/.30 cal rifle cans though.

Another that I have considered for 556 is the Surefire FA556-212. Pricey, unless you go with factory certified MilSurp (which is tempting).

What is generally considered “average” for 556 AR DB with a 16” barrel?
Looking at Griffins 556 options for a 12.5” SBR for use as a duty rifle suppressor. I don’t know how how much DB difference the .2” makes for the $100 MSRP difference.

Edit: appears to be approximately 2 decibel difference, now I’m curious as to tonal difference.

I just got my deadair Sandman-L in after 14months. Tried it out on 2 of my 5.56 guns and a 6.5 grendel so far.

Good enough spot for a first post. My first two stamps came in yesterday.

Congratulations! Looks like they’re both Rugged cans?

Thank you. Rugged Micro 30 (pictured long configuration) and Rugged Obsidian 9 (pictured short configuration)

I picked up the cans last night and bought the Tacoma on Sunday. It’s been a solid week. F98623CC-7D48-4E45-9CF3-05EE88830477.jpg

Nice, I looked at the micro 30, and my cousin has an obsidian 9 on order, both are good cans.
Wow, hell of a week, I’m sure you’ve probably already seen the shit show that is the 3rd gen section, but if you haven’t already there’s a list of common issues for you to look out for.

I’m very happy with my choices. The Obsidian 9 is stupid quiet in the long configuration. CFA68882-EE44-4414-BFC6-4E88915726BA.jpg

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of y'all happened to have experience with any night vision gear? I have a little .22 can that should be coming any day now and thought a night scope might be something fun to have too. I was looking at some gen 1 scopes and seem to keep coming back to the ATN X-sight 4K pro. I figured it would be cool to have and could move around to other guns for bigger predator control whenever necessary. I don't know a whole lot about NV other than it gets stupid expensive once you move out of the gen 1 range, I was mostly wondering if y'all happened to have good or bad experience with anything in particular.

Alright so I'm wondering if anyone can help me out here. I'm still waiting for my Form 4 to go through and decided to call my dealer a few weeks ago. On April 14 I called and they said they couldn't really help but because of the shutdown things had gotten delayed. They also gave me the number of the ATF and said I should call them to check. Once I called the ATF they basically said that it's been over 9 months and it should be here any day...but make sure to call them once a month until the suppressor has come in. I'm just wondering if anyone else was going through this BS right now too or if I just need to be more patient.

I’m in! I just got all my stuff filed and my suppressor just arrived at my local dealer (via SilencerShop).

I got the Rugged Razor due to its interchangeable front caps to accommodate my .308 and 5.56.

Now I’ll play the waiting game for another 5-7 months til I can take it home, but I can go shoot it and admire it at the shop in the interim.
