Leave It alone.... call your insurance and let the tow truck come get it... you can choose any shop you want to repair the damage.

Most body shops won't do any mechanical work. Hopefully you can't get them to send it to the stealership to get any motor issues fixed. I had an Lexus IS250 before my truck. Basically the same motor, just less displacement. The Lexus had a plastic intake manifold on it. I assume this truck has a plastic intake manifold on it also. Brittle plastic in cold weather likes to snap into a lot of little pcs....make sure someone vacuums out the cylinders before starting!!

Yep I'm sure anything plastic under the hood on the top is shattered. There are plastic shards and pieces directly under the engine. Thanks to you and all for advice.

I agree - looks like the front is fine. Fender and hood and engine bits that were up high enough to take an impact. And I am with the other folks, I would leave in place until insurance chimes in.

I don't understand how anyone could get to the conclusion of needing a new frame.

If it's his chimney why wouldn't this be a home owners claim? Unless he's renting I guess.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
So I am guessing your parents own the house these bricks fell from? (or whoever carries the insurance on the home). If so then it is definitely a homeowners policy issue. The way those bricks peeled off of the house/chimney, it looks like to this "longtime old house owner" that the bricks were ready to fall any time. This was an accident waiting for an excuse to happen.
Bricks DO NOT just fall off a building for no reason like that. The mortar and any brick supporting structure was already well deteriorated for this to happen out of the blue.
Unless there was a wind storm that tore them off, then the bricks had help in coming loose.
Good luck with the insurance company on this -- I hate to play "Debbie downer" here , but they may try to claim negligence on the homeowners part. I hope not for your part as all you want is your truck fixed.
PS -I would not try to start/drive it as there may be fuel lines broken under there. Have it towed , but only after the homeowners insurance and your auto insurance companies have a look at the scene
One more question -- did they recently have a flue/chimney fire in that chimney? If so that heat will destroy the mortar joints on a old /unlined flue.

Insurance company fixed my '16 Camry. Cost them over $20K including new engine and body work. I think it was worth about $30K at the time. I don't think it's totaled. Man but that sucks though. First time I've seen a chimney collapse. You go to ghost towns and the chimney will be all that's left standing.

My Sister n law had a similar incident with her new Lexus last year , She parked next to a retaining wall . During the time the car was parked a couple of large rocks maybe 25-50lbs fell onto the hood and d/side fender

The hood and fender was dented like yours and the insurance company fixed it !!!
