That's actually how they have to do it properly and if it's over pictographs its even more time consuming and there are few folks who actually can do it.

 

Builds a company selling to off road/overlander clients, goes off road and posts to social media demonstrating they do not know the #1 rule if off roading. Pretty sad. Regardless of who physically did it, I'd have to imagine he saw it before it went on the IG feed, or at least immediately afterward.

We often go shooting when off road. We sweep the area afterward and pickup all shell casings and trash, including casings of calibers we did not shoot. Multiple local areas have been closed due to lack of respect, trash and shooting without cleanup. My local trail outdoor shooting spots have all been closed, not just to shooting but locking out motorized vehicles, permanently. These trails have then been handed over to those that are more socially responsible, like mountain biking groups. We will never see these trails returned to the off road community. The public does not typically support off road groups, they would rather we not be there. It is asshats like this that ruin it for everyone when the majority of us try to leave things better than when we found them. I like to get out to the back country, but every time I go, more is closed off than the last time. Them broadcasting this idiocracy on social media, regardless of the actual perpetrator, hurts us all.

Lots of people from the city... all the Toy Haulers that bring wood pallets to burn then leave nails for everyone to drive over, the plinking idiots that can’t pick up their trash and brass all over campsites, the OHV’s that cut new trails and leave washes after the next big downpour, the ex-Boyscout leader dummies that pushed over the hoodoos in Goblin Valley, Utah and the idiots that destroyed the historic Eye of the Needle arch in Montana, etc...

Freedom and access and all that stuff goes with responsibility- and most of the people I’ve met on off road trails practice it.
