Yep. Forget wheeling. I have to figure out how to just get to camp these days.

People aren't getting it. This isn't theory. It's already happened here

I’ve had to do the same thing to shooters, off-roaders, campers lighting campfires in stage 2 fire bans.
I don’t like bullets flying over my head due to illegal shooting unless I’m back in a war zone, don’t want another house to burn down due to campers thinking the fire bans are for everyone else but them, and can’t stand off-roading like jackasses outside designated areas/trails.

Someday I know my fun will aventually end. Most won't see it coming. It happened in MT, CA, and CO is a daily fight.

Next weekend I am wheeling with someone that I can’t stand, but need to make amends with, eat some crow, to help with the fight this very thread is about.

Most people are multi-sport. At one time, I did: MX, mountain biking, camping, off-roading, snowshoeing, snowboarding, hiking. Only working 4.5 months out of the year left a lot of time on my hands.

I get it, and totally agree.

Social commentary on a truck forum?! Glad my wife and I didn't have children to have to explain what the hell a "non-binary" human being is either. Can we get back to wrenching? Get off your Beat-boxes, take out your gauge earrings, drop the man bun and let's move on. Oh yeah, turn in your capri skinny jeans at the door, bitches. For fuck sake. 0FG!!

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
I remember when the big timber companies around here didn't have gates and encouraged people to go up and "enjoy the land". Weyerhaeuser had a really nice free campground on their Whit River tree farm. Unfortunately due to garbage dumping, vandalism, poaching, and a few other reasons the gates went up and closed off hundreds of thousands of acres. A lot of the companies still allow you to recreate on their property, but for the low price of $300 a year and to sign away your first born. Like a lot of things, it was only 5% that were causing problems, but it screwed it up for everyone.

For the most part, this has been a very good debate, for both sides or any viewpoint.

Much respect, or it could be Sunday (now Monday) evening and the drinking is minimal. :D

    Pick this up later.

I’m confused on this. There are hundreds of other carvings in Moab. Guy fucked up, admitted it. Stop trying to shame the hell out of him. He gets what he did was wrong. He’s an overland bro, not someone who wheels. I don’t think him/his photographer are campers...they just drive around promoting the business and doing, well whatever they do.

I guarantee every one of us did something stupid or destroyed something at
some point in our life. No need to send this dude to the news and ruin his business. Shit happens, get over it. At least he didn’t draw a penis.

Not sure what you are trying to imply there, but there is a difference between intentionally doing damage vs. An incidental sliders dragging on a rock. Unless thats your thing to go on trails and creatively drag your sliders on rocks o_O
