Bought this truck "used" with about 130 miles on it. Took it to a place I trust with a road force balancing machine because the tires felt oval.

They did their thing and it's better but there is still quite a bit of bounce at 50+

I decided to swap the spare onto the positions where I thought the wobble was coming from... I'm no expert but this seems like too much weight for a small truck tire.

Anyone else have balancing trouble with the stock wrangler tires?

That amount of weight seems ridiculous. Unless you have a seriously defective tire or a bent rim or something inside the rim. Maybe a broken tpms sensor floating around.

Yeah. That's the worst one. Both on the drivers side have what looks like a pound of weights on them. Probably new tire time.

How many miles are now on this truck? There is a 3/36k factory warranty? Unless something happened on a past test drive or during loaner use and then you bought it.....with damage.

Should the dealer fix this under the warranty?

I guess it depends on what's wrong and who was responsible for the problem. They will have to determine that.

With that much weight I recommend you dont ever attempt a water crossing. You're gonna sink!

The op probably lives in a state with tire lead weight ban.

Spent 4 HOURS at the dealer this morning. (I knew something was fishy on the online scheduling tool when EVERY 30 minute slot was open to come in)

Anyway, they had the wheels/tires on and off the truck about 3 times.
Re-balanced everything on the road force (much less weights on the wheels now)
Ended up having the transmission guy deal with it after they were sure the wheels were balanced.

Ended up doing a TSB for the transmission. Haven't had it over 45 yet - will do some highway miles later to test it out.
