Well the wheels turned out to be for a earlier model of the 4 runner , same 6 lug pattern and stud spacings but the front calliper was set further back from the rim. I have since purchased a set of wheel spacers (1/2") and extended lug nuts..
After all that I would have been better to wait and search for a set that were actually off a Tacoma ....live & learn..lol

Well my 2006 A.R.E. CAP with the Windoors turned out to be a lot of promises but the guy never actually came thru with the cap...‍♂️
Looks like the budget cap will be staying thru the winter....

The leer cap I have in use now is 3" too short, and 3.5" too narrow to actually fit exactly on the Taco. It has cost me $58.00 to replace the gas cylinder's for the rear hatch door, $28.00 for gaskets and Clamps .the sliders are stuck, closed ( a good thing for now)
The screens are torn , and the roof rack holes are not sealed all that well at the moment ....but it is 93% weather tight.... I'll keep looking on C.L. for a actual Tacoma access cab cap in very good condition..

Thanks Everyone! The search continues for the correct cap but all in all I am liking the the way it's coming along..
The next thing is rear drums and shoes....no glamour in that but 126k and they have reached their service limit...which just so happened to coincide with the checkbook limit also....lol.

Well, Tacoma progress came to a halt on January 3rd.
This was sudden and quite a set back....You see I suffered a Cerebral Brain Anyurism....which has been repaired with 2 Titanium clamps and a day in the Neurological surgical suite...
I have another appointment on 02/17/19....
I came out this as whole as I went into this.... which according to the Dr.'s makes me a Walking freaking miracle...o_O

If you're ever down in the Boston area, I could be coaxed into separating with my MGM leer cap for the right price.
Its in great shape and i limo tinted it.

I appreciate that Greg617. I do get down theat way ocasoccasion. It's just for about 9 months a year I travel almost entirely by motorcycle....
However, I am pretty sure I'll be drastically curtailed in any major outlays of cash till I can get my head above the water again...

Good shit man, I miss having a motorcycle. Im in saving mode as well & using my truck for work now so the cap is in the garage. I drove past Portland to pick it up but for a TW member i'd consider parting with it.

Well coming up on 7 weeks since the "Incident" aka my stroke...
Haven't been able to return to work or to operate any motor vehicle...
My driveway is a sheet of ice , and it it's trecherous as hell...
Monday is a national holiday, Presidents Day. That time of year when the last of the previous year Tacoma's are Super Deep discounted to the point of actually being fairly priced.....
    Well, almost .
Anyway, Tuesday is my appointment in Burlington and I'll find out wether or not I can drive again....
    fingers crossed...

Good news today ....I can return to work on Monday the 11th with no restrictions.....
When the weather warms up I'll get the cap pulled off and begin to get the weather seals fixed as well as removing the side windows and getting the screens fixed...
