Looking into a CaliRaised light bar for the 2018 taco. Anyone familiar with the options, give me feedback? Anything you wish you'd done? Combo vs spot? Switch color? I go venturing into off road a bit due to hunting, and I want MORE LIGHT. EVERYWHERE.

I have it installed great light insofar as medium range output, especially for the price. But I think placing it in the lower valence is just a bad location, my high beams penetrate farther distance than the light bar when I'm out in the desert.

Its GREAT at lighting up whats right in front of you, but halogen high beams still go farther. So I'm getting a few Baja Designs spot lights to mount on my roof rack for distance, just ordered cali raised ditch lights for sides (again they're great for medium range which is all I need my ditch lights to do), and I'll still leave my 30" lower valence bar in because its still great for blinding assholes that won't turn off their high beams or won't move out of the fast lane :anonymous:

Maybe I just pointed mine a little too low as well I'll try adjusting it upwards for my desert trip this weekend I'll report back if it ends up improving the distance, either way considering the price I think they're still a great buy.

Customer service is on point too I had a sticky relay in the first harness and cali raised was really responsive and sent me a new one right away. Ordered my new ditch lights from them on Tuesday (rush order so I have them for this weekend) and they shipped them out they very next morning and I'll have them tomorrow. Very good service!

I've also fully submerged this light bar in water and mud multiple times and its held up great to the abuse.

So overall I'm a little disappointed by the raw distance the light throws, but still very impressed with the light and company all around, and for the price I can forgive them not performing like lights that are 6X the price at long distance.
