Blurtooth volume low and no bass

I have a 2017 trd OR with etune premium non jbl. I tried my bluetooth today and when I tried playing music through spotify the volume was much lower and there was almost no bass to the music. Turned it back to the radio and it sounds fine

I have had this phone connected to 3 different cars via bluetooth and havent had an issue so the phone and spotify cant be the issue. I have turned the volume to max as well on the phone after connecting.

The question is, has anyone fixed this issue by adding an amp for the speakers along with an lc7i to bring back the volume and bass? My theory is the head unit makes the volume low and bass low so you cant turn up an eq setting on the phone to protect the cheap factory speaker.

Even though I know the phone isnt the issue I know someone is going to ask about it. I'm using a galaxy note 8

 

Is there any way to adjust the signal level for the bluetooth input like most aftermarket HU's have?

(i'm not familiar with entune)
