    Well boys I’m a fuckin re-tahd.

Turns out I didn’t need spacers. Either I have the not thick as fuck calipers or previous owner already ground them down.

Anyone wanna buy some 6x5.5 paperweights...

    :annoyed:

Nope, I used double sided gorilla tape. Its called Gorilla hanging tape. It says it can support 30lbs per square inch.

I bought 15” wheels cause I’m dumb dumb and got a good deal on 15” tires. Found out after the fact that I need spacers (adapters) so I sucked it up and got them.

Been stressing me out that the spacers are eating away at my front end so I took them off to see if I can run without. Got excited that the driver side worked but passenger rubbed the caliper and I don’t want to grind the caliper just for these wheels.

So I’m gonna throw the stock wheels back on with the highway tires and then figure out what to do from there, I don’t want to run a spacer. I may just wait till next winter and buy a set of duratracs or something that actually fit my setup.

In the bright side I got my rear Bilstein 4600s in! Rides like a dream.

What are the offsets on the rims and how big are the spacers.

Reason I ask is because if I ran 1.5” spacers on stock wheels I would be roughly at the backspacing of my aftermarket rims.

Yes spacers will wear out wheel bearings, but so will larger tires. My concern with spacers is something else to break. Again, not a huge concern if you just do regular maintence and inspect and have a good quality spacer.

    Just food for thought.

The rims are already 3.75” so it’s a lot of load over an extra 5” over stock. Just worries me more than it’s worth, my front end is older and I don’t want to deal with losing a ball joint or wheel bearing on the highway.

I can hopefully recoup the cost on this set and buy some tires that will actually benefit me and it can be a proper set up... hopefully :’(

I think I’m gonna get 265/75r16, so 31.6x10.4r16 I think it works out to. It won’t rub, I could go 285 and hammer more but again, bigger tire, more stress, more issues.
