    Hi Peeps,
I know this has been asked several times. I can't find the right forum without scrolling through several thousands.
I'm new to the forum stuff. I have a 2016 TRD OR SB. I recently put a 1" spacer lift in the rear. 2" spacer up front.
I know it's not the best I should install. It is all I can afford without it breaking the bank or my credit at this time. Anyhow,
I've been getting a grunt sound (not really a vibration)when I reach 65-80 miles per hour and beyond from the rear it sounds like. It gets louder the faster I go. I spoke with a toyota mechanic. He said carrier bearing shim.
I'm just wondering how much I should shim the carrier bearing with a 1" spacer lift on the rear axle? Should I put a wedge shim in to correct drive shaft angle at the differential flange? It's never made this noise until I raised the rear.
I don't off road and don't plan on any serious mods or offroading until I pay the truck off.
Thanks for any help I can get.

I was able to shim the carrier bearing approx 1/4" tonight. I have to buy longer bolts if I need to shim it more. Thanks again for any feed back.

Try with the 1/4, if doesn't change try 3/8", possibly 1/2" Wouldn't think with only 1" block you would more than 3/8" Guessing short bed. I would get longer bolt to be used with a flat washer and lock washer. If you get it figured out, blue loctite would be a final add. I made my own out of pc 1/2" flat stock. Mines a Long bed, 2" of rear lift.

    Thanks.
I'm trying washer spacers for now. I have access to several thicknesses of steel and aluminum at the shop. Correct bolts and hardware are a dime a dozen at the hardware store. I'll get the correct 10mm metric thread flange bolt.
I keep lock tite in my home tool box.
