Just installed new Xtune pro projector headlights and love them what do you all think? No worries about my feeling being hurt if you don’t like them be honest.

They are built to the same spec as OEM and feel the same as the old ones. The light quality of the integrated blinker and DRL are spot on. Once I fully test them at night I’ll give a report on that.

Aftermarket assemblies do not perform as well as stock ones when each are using the same light source. From there, there is obviously a spectrum, some aftermarket ones are worse off than others.

I knew that but I always like to ask (rather than just tell them outright).

I’ll let you know if I have a noticeable drop off after I take it to work in the morning. But as for the quality and structural integrity it felt very well put together.

Yeah I can honestly say the spectrum of light is noticeable less then the stock. I’d say about 15% less. I’m gonna take the bulbs thy came with the aftermarket out and my stock ones in to see if that changes anything. They are smoked so that would account for some of the drop

If the projectors themselves are smoked, that would be a pretty bad design. Aftermarket lights lack precision optics, which are what is required to effectively collect, focus and project light. So even though they have a projector, it is not up to par with Toyota’s projector quality and efficiency, meaning the result is the projected light is less bright, even if using the same light source as the stock lights.

While good bulbs do not fix a poor projector they can help improve output. The Hella Osram Hyper H9s are a low cost highly effective solution, seen in post #2 of this thread:

I’ll take some night pics this evening. I’ve had zero issues with them over the month and don’t mind the minimal spectrum lost. I still haven’t changed the bulbs which could fix the minimal lost. But the spectrum throw lose is so minimal I haven’t felt the need to rush to find new bulbs.
