Any of you guys have first hand info on experience with sections 7&8 of Idaho BDR? I will be in CDA in July and was thinking about driving those parts.

Avista is in Spokane, Wa. They are mostly just T&D on the customer side of things. Also really hard to get in with. Touchstone Energy owns most of the electric co-ops in Idaho. I’ve heard good things about Idaho power also Idaho falls power(which is about 2ish hours east of Boise) I work for Seattle City Light. Our generation sites are all fairly remote but extremely beautiful areas of the state. We have had quite a few retirements lately so there will be jobs opening at Boundary and the Skagit Projects.

Hey Watt maker, Idaho Power is a badass company to work for and subsequently has a very competitive hiring pool. Good luck that would be a great job for any E&I guys or w/e you do in the energy sector. Clearwater Paper in Lewiston, Idaho has multiple boilers/turbines; they are always looking for bodies, only problem is if your salary the culture is complete shit, hence the turnover. For hourly guys its not to bad, pay is okay @ ~$35/hr but the bennys are excellent. You could also look into the dams, its pretty tough to get on there too. Schweitzer Engineering has facilities in Pullman, WA and Lewiston if you know about Relays or their transmission monitoring products.

I haven't been too active on this site for awhile, life got in the way. Anyway I have been in Sandpoint for just over a year and looking for places N folks to wheel with. I have been on some dirt roads (Baldy Mt) but no real trails, don't know where they are. Anyone here in my area?

What’s up buddy. I’m up in Bonners. I’m always in Sandpoint. I’m hardly on here anymore. I’m pretty sure I’m the only dude in Boundary county on TW. I seen some cool looking tacos in Sandpoint before. Hit me up I’d love to talk trucks and wheel some trails.

Yeah I don’t venture down that far south unless I’m going to CDA. I’m usually at ponderay Walmart though.
