Raise 2.5 inches with lift kit
Hello, everyone I'm new here and I'm having trouble with my 2018 toyota Tacoma with the breaking vibration but mine is that I have bought the truck on August of 2018 and I didn't feel the vibrations until I raised it 2.5 inches. Can I still do the complaint or not because of that modification?
I'll be waiting for your respond.

I have this issue with my pro and it's not lifted. At the very least I'd have the dealer look at it and get it documented.

Welcome to TacomaWorld. If it's vibrating so bad it's breaking things you need to get it looked at. :D Sorry I couldn't resist, but seriously...this sounds like it could be a warped rotor. Did you use a torque wrench to tighten the wheels?

There is a TSB for certain VIN's for this issue

Toyota replaced my leaf springs as per the TSB to correct my shake...

    Its axle wrap..

If you have an imperfect rear brake drum it will enhance the feeling...

Dont let them replace your springs until you get new brake drums first... But good luck with that... They know best...Or so they think they do..

Axle wrap is normal. I discovered after putting 250 pounds of weight in the back to help deal the slick winter roads helps a lot and also smoothes out the ride.

Yeah its normal but shouldn't pulsate the vehicle..

The spring replace ment took almost all of it away.. But not all...

Then it progressively got worse and I went to 3 dealers before the 3rd one said no problem to a set of new drums (Hallmark Toyota)

Truck is smoother than ever. still not perfect but its tolerable..

My E brake was over adjusted from the factory..

Thought I'd share my experiences. Been going through the same vibration issue with my 2018 OR. Dealer has re-surfaced the drums 3x and replaced them 2x, as well as turned the front rotors 1x. Has been in service for 29 days total. I asked corporate to buy the vehicle back under my state lemon-law requirement and they turned down my request, stating the reason for the brakes going out of round must be driver habits. They measured the rear axle for run-out and say it's in spec. I filed a complaint with the National Center for Dispute and now have an arbitration hearing with the Toyota Field Technician and NCDS to discuss the case and hopefully re-evaluate a buy-back. I'll keep everyone posted in case you go through the same issues.

I had the same issue on my brand new Tacoma with 300 miles. The dealer replaced the drum brakes, axle bearing assm., and Rear axle hub & bearings. So far, so good.
