This mod is going to be a game changer. Might even save me from having to re-gear - at least until the weather is warmer.
The most annoying thing about ECT, besides having to push the button on the dash, is the 5th gear shift point when driving in town. This will make it more more convenient to just deselect ECT and allow an upshift at 45-50 without having to reach and push the button on the dash.
I know it sounds silly, but the truck just has so many little annoying quirks. Thanks @mesojdm for the dedication!

Just pull the console straight up. It is just snapped in place.

@mesojdm I am guessing you put the knob back together with stronger glue? Was looking to take the back part with the TRD off to touch up paint

I did not glue them back together in case users wanted to add a 2nd button, paint, or service the knob. Just insert a small flat head or pry tool at the bottom and the shell will pop off.:)

What regearing were you going to do? OVTuning didn’t fix the shifting?

4.88s. I have 33’s. OVTune has made a world of difference and I have no regrets, but gears and OVT is the dream setup.

Exactly! My plans as well. I did the 'rasp mod' to my cubby side switch panel for the large AOB switch and now have the smaller stock switch from the anytimebackupcamera thread. Going to move it to the ECT slot and rebuild the cubby side.

    I would...but stock isn't even in stock:rofl:
I color matched it for him. The deal was; he sends me a PRO knob to R&D on, I'll mod it specifically for his truck(MGM color)
