I have spent many a days in that museum and will actually be @ the Gatornationals this weekend for the 50th Anniversary....

 

I'd put a plastic alligator head with its eyes just poking through the water surface and leave it there. Of course, a game camera to catch all of the fun...

The auto mfgs need to stop using air bags all together !!!

You dont see air bags in race cars !!!! , these auto mfgs need to learn from race car technology . If a race car driver can walk away unharmed from a 200 mph accident then that show you something how well built the race car is

I feel much safer driving my 47 yr old Camaro around with the NHRA 9.90 cert 8 point cage , Race seats and 5 point harnesses than driving my 2002 Tacoma which a air bag

I go to the NHRA Museum at Pomona every year because they always have new cars or exhibits on Display

The picture you linked is of a super pro gas car that I watched race at OCIR back in the early 80's . Also at this museum is a car called " Midnight Oil " a 50's era front engine dragster that I new the owner/driver of

Just heard something really strange from a passing BNSF freight train heading towards the Barstow yard . From a distance I could hear a constant noise or sound and as it got closer It sounded like a stuck horn

As the freight train passed by it definitely was a Air horn that was stuck on and it sounded really strange as the sound got louder then faded as it passed by . This air horn has possibly been on at least from the bottom of the Cajon pass over 30 miles away and no other crossings for another 50 miles from my place to the Barstow yard

In the irritating video of the train horn with some drunken joker having some physical attachment to the horn you are hearing a phase shift due to the directional function of the mic on the camera.

With the BNSF Train I heard this morning with the stuck horn heading North towards Barstow I bet drove the train crew nuts hearing it !!!
