    Yeah, that's a pretty normal occurrence. Most of the park was a lake at one point (now dry lakes).

    There are many places you shouldn't go when there's even the slightest amount of precip on the horizon for flash flood warnings.

    I live up in the High Desert ( Mojave Desert) and you definitely dont want to be near a wash or low ground during Thunderstorm as it flood heavily and quickly up here

    During Heavy rain or bad T storms I'm constantly receiving emergency alerts over my phone or on my TV and I've seen some bad flash floods


    This was a few weeks ago and at the headwaters of the Mojave river and live just 2 miles from this location . This same flash flood brought the Mojave river to just under flood stage . Also there was water flowing the Mojave in Baker Ca 105 miles down river near the sink
