I recently installed a Pop in Lock to my tailgate and I’m looking for something to cover the keyhole. Anyone know where to buy or how to makeshift something?

Would it be easy to take off if the Pop in Lock fails and I need access to the keyhole?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be easy to take off. The post above looks like a good option.

I sent a PM to @mesojdm about making some plugs that fit into the keyholes, they would have a silicone seal and a small cam that fits into the keyhole. You would push in the plug, then turn and it would lock the plug in place. He never got back to me about it though.

Sorry, My PM box is kinda hectic at times. That's a good Idea, I would probably thing some hard 3D printed "key" plug with a rubber O ring on the shoulder

Im sure with your shift knob your inbox got killed :)

I outlined a good design in my PM if your able to find it, but basic concept was to have the cam goes into the keyhole, then when you turn the whole plug it locks the cam in. The force of the o-ring pushing out and the cam holding the keyhole holds it in. Basic twist in, twist out design.

I need one to keep the car wash from blasting water into my keyhole... MN winters, car washes and overnight lows below 0 end up with me climbing in through the passenger side door.
