    Hi everyone;

    My 2017 Tacoma TRD has 21,000 miles on it but is getting close to the end of third year of ownership so I'm thinking of buying the Toyota extended factory warranty but before contacting our small dealership here in Santa Fe I wanted to see if there are some other sources via the Internet where I can get better pricing. Then I'll contact my dealer and see if they'll negotiate.

    I've see lots of posts here at tacomaworld that say I can find it cheaper but have not see where anyone has posted where they actually bought theirs from.

    Any links to sites that sell these extended warranties would be appreciated.

    Just a word of advice. Maybe a couple. Before you pay, realize it will cost more today than it would have then. Also, before you pay, read the contract. Especially that parts that deal with what you are responsible for and the part that talks about exclusions-especially this part. I know it's going to be more than a few pages but unless you wanna get a surprise when something shits the bed and they say "no", read it.

    I agree with that guy ^^^ . Also, the cheapest and best policy is taking that money you were going to use to buy that warranty, and making your savings account 2000 dollars higher than it is now. Self-warranty is best warranty.

    I shopped around before I got my truck and then got them to match the price, it was worth it imho.

    Hey OP, I bought my 2017 used and don't normally buy these things. While my truck looks well taken care of and maintenance records are good, I'd still like to get an extended warranty, since I don't know the previous owner.

    So did you ever get any leads on a dealer with the best price? I've sent inquires to two places I found online, but haven't got a response.

    I looked at this a few months ago and this was the name that kept popping up as the best deal. I didn’t purchase from them so I can’t comment on it.

    thanks. I'll check them out. I did get a quote for 10 years/100,000 from a place called CarChex I think. They wanted $2,400. I'm still looking.

    I bought the warrantee through the dealership but there are many out there. I know my Credit Union and USAA have a warrantee plans as well.
