going to update this post off my phone with photos

Bought this HOOKE ROAD roof rack

    http://ubox-offroad.com/products/to...ota-tacoma-2005-2019-bxg405?ref=5dde48767b3a4

Been asked on the FB TW
On Amazon they claim to be able to hold 350Lbs. the rack holds on 4 location on the roof. there is no T-slots like the other brand. Wind noise is minimal but anything on a roof is going to make noise. This company I think is over seas but ships out of California. Customer service is more of a email thing. There was no direction in the box. I cut the rubber molding on the roof and used some RTV to seal the bolts and molding to the roof. the front needs to add a edge seal so you can make it touch the roof if not the spoiler vibrates and makes crazy noises

little 2 min video on the roof rack

Looks good, think it’s possible to have like an inch spacer and use longer mounting bolts to avoid cutting as much of the oem rubber? And use the lower mounting points to have it sit just as low?

    Interesting, looks solid.
Been waiting for a rack that can support more weight than OEM for under $400.

OP, watched your video but couldn't tell if there was enough space underneath for a 3rd gen with a shark fin and sunroof. What are your thoughts?

Seems like a nice budget rack. Interested in a 6 month follow up though. But still nice

I just bought this for the 3rd gen. Any advice other than what was already given. I did the u-box one off Amazon. Put up a post to see if anybody else had one and thought I was going to be the Guinea pig. Thanks for the info on the front air splitter thing lol. I will probably just use some fuel line cut it and the epoxy that so it doesnt vibrate.

My truck has a taller fin than yours so I’m assuming that if it’s taller than 2.5in then it’s a no go

OP, just measured the fin on my Gen 3. It's 2 3/8in. May just fit. Is there much gap where a sunroof would be? There are only 2 little that stick up about at inch over the roofline on a factory sunroof.
