hey guys, hoping I can find some info in here. search came up empty. I have some buddies heading there this weekend in their Jeeps and I thought I might tag along in my TRD Sport 4wd. the only info I can find about the place is old and it says we can only use 2 trails there? can anyone help me with any trail maps? are the trails easy/hard? my truck is stock and I have never "wheeled" before at all. my buddies have but I am new.

thank you for the info. I don't know where they got that they would be open this weekend? I have watched several videos of the place and it looks mild for sure. there is one spot that would make me a lil nervous but I watched a stock 4th Gen 4 Runner get thru it ok so I assume I would be ok too? I would be down for some fire roads and that type of thing for sure though. I just like driving my Taco and enjoying the outdoors.

From 181 go past the OHV to Wilson Creek and hang a left. Go beside the river till you can make a left and it runs back to 181. There are several dirt roads all around the area. Seen a few with some private property signs in the Mortimer area, but at least some dirt back there..

There was a nice little dirt road, Curtis Creek Campground, I went up. Few good views and follows a Creek with some small falls along the way.It comes out on the parkway near Mt. Mitchell..

I actually have the weekend of the 29th off surprisingly. Hope to camp somewhere. Uwharrie opens that weekend also and meeting some friends on the 6th out there..
