Finally ordered some ditch light brackets from Rago to go along with the el cheapo ditch light pods Ive had sitting on the shelf for almost a year now

Got everything installed after work this week. Just need to wire them up. Found adding a washer under each of the bolts was a good idea as the slots in the bracket are a bit over machined and the stock bolt head didnt quite have a ton of bite. Also added a nice big nylon washer between the LED and the bracket to hopefully minimize the rust transfer when the cheapo LED bracket inevitably starts the rust

 

I like the placement of your light bar on the bumper.

Seems like that would get you pulled over for obstructing your view. Hopefully you never run that on the highway.

Mine made a world of difference. I'm only 5' 8 but I can see a bit better over the hood and my back no longer hurts while driving

 

Haven’t done anything today.. but just wanted to say that my 2005 Tacoma is the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. 119k miles and hope to keep it forever!

Nothing fun at all... spent $300 buying a new OEM sway bar and Moog end links/bushings/brackets and installing it in the driveway of my new storage unit (woooo apartment living...) so that my truck would pass NY state inspection. Took mine off back in 2013 and passed inspection in CA, WI, NH, and MA, but not NY. Shop showed me the NY state inspection program and it specifically asks if the sway bar is installed, even has a picture of what it should look like on a 2nd gen Tacoma. Interestingly enough, they don't check ball joints or tire tread depth to make sure the vehicle is safe, but don't fret, they'll make sure you have a sway bar.

 

I just went through a similiar thing. Spent $150 on a new wheel bearing/hub assembly to get an alignment so I could get a reconstruction permit (truck is lifted), so I can get my safety check done. The recon person literally walked around my truck and said you passed. Didn't look at the lift or anything under the truck. States probably do this just to create revenue. I got an appoint for my safety check today, so hopefully I will pass that and then I will be legal for another year.

Replaced the windshield wiper inserts. $10 each and I bought an extra set since my local Toyota Dealer said they will not be stocking them much longer.

 

Passed my safety check! Gonna treat myself to a surf session after work.

 

Installed a new 40" Light Bar on the Prinsu rack, to replace that 52" monster. Much Much less wind noise with this one and not as obnoxious looking. I'll wire it up this weekend. Hopefully.
