Anyone regret buying a bed rack instead of a camper shell? I just installed a decked system and now I’m looking at a bed rack to haul gear on. No plans on a rtt, but I haul mtn bikes and kayaks.

Snugtop, lift, Prinsu Rack and lead foot.
I have a Pelfreyt bed rack now sitting in my garage. I am moving to wetter climates and wanted covered space. My tacoma is not really used like a truck right now and more of a overbuilt soccer hauler. This is the rack before I replaced it with a Snugtop. The thing I liked about the rack was hauling the Kayak and the price. The canopy was 3k. The rack with the custom height to clear larger tires, and threaded inserts for lights and other accessories was only 1200 new with powder coat.
