Looking for a bicycle cover!

Hi all -

I am looking for a bicycle cover for a single medium sized bike that lives outdoor in a shed, to give some protection from water.

I would also ideally like to be able to put in on the bike while driving with the bicycle attached to a rocky mounts fork, to protect it on during a long drive if it is raining on the way home.

Something like this...any other suggestions/ thoughts?

I can't speak for others, but my mountain bike is too damn expensive to live outside

 

Same here. Inside always.

 

I would not cover it up in transit. Just make sure you dry it off and lube the chain after a 70 mph rain wash. And occasionally check the grease in the headset.
I have never had any issues over the years doing this.

 

I also don't leave my bikes in a shed where they need a cover.

In the past I have used something like this -

I second the lube the chain comment.

 

Unfortunately leaving it inside is not an option.

The outdoor shed is missing the door, so without a cover it will get rained on. No risk of theft though.

This is my first nice bike, is leaving it outside really going to damage it? Or is worrying about it mostly just overkill?

 

Tarp for storage, nothing for driving down the road.
One trip I loaded my bike on a hitch rack in 12" of snow and snow through Virginia.. Bike was uncovered. By North Carolina it was rain... all the way through Georgia. By Florida it was sunny and 70 by the time I got to Ocala to ride the Santos Trail system. I got there, lubed the chain and rode for four days. This is normal for me. My new bike is a Trek FuelEX 8 27.5+. Not cheap.
