I’ll try and hunt it down but basically here the steps in the mean time. It’s a very easy and quick process:

    1. Lower the spare tire and disconnect it from the chain.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts that hold the elevator mechanism to the subframe piece under the bed. A standard 12mm wrench will work for all 4 bolts. Be patient as it’s a tight squeeze to undo all the bolts. A little PB blaster will make it easier, and you can even spin them out with your fingers.

    3. Once bolts are removed. Move the elevator mechanism toward the bumper. Basically you scoot the mechanism to the 2 holes already there. Then mark 2 new drill holes with a silver sharpie to know where to drill the new holes. This put the mechanism back an inch and a half or so.

    4. A center punch helps if you have one to start a drill point. Punch the sharpie marks. Drill out the holes to the same size as the other ones. Step up in bit sizes and be patient. I also forgot to mention to go back to step 1 and crack open a beer. Whiskey if it’s a Friday or Saturday.

    5. Once you’ve drilled the holes out, spray over the drilled holes with your black spray paint of choice to prevent future rust or corrosion.

    6. Rebolt the elevator mechanism. This is also a good time to clean the crud out of your mechanism so that it doesn’t seize up. Simple green followed by silicone spray works great for this.

    7. Crank your full size spare back up into position and enjoy not rubbing your tire against the diff and exhaust.

Thank you DillionBarron for the step by step instructions. I'll add this to my to do list. I just received my parts for the rear diff breather mod and bed d-ring mod plus I still need to install my kicker speakers in the rear doors. I just have to find the time and motivation to do this all

Of course! I will say it was much easier for me to do since I had the truck up on a lift. I’d also recommend glasses, long sleeves, and gloves so that you don’t end up with sharp metal shavings all over yourself.

Started on a bed rack for a buddy. Hopefully finishing it up tomorrow so he can take it and get it powdercoated. Center cross bars are removable for if you were to need to load something tall or a bike or something. 53F937FB-E630-408E-B4B7-BBEB709BB9DA.jpg4CB2B388-7D43-4957-9CA9-02249272C18B.jpg

Why not DIY if its a smaller project. I did the bed in my tacoma w/ the spray paint style liner and it turned out great. Heard people have good results w/ the roll on stuff too.

Did some exploring today off the Florence-Kelvin highway. Good time with the wives and girlfriends! I brough all my camp grill stuff so we had a great meal of elk burgers and all the fixings and sides! Wouldn't call it wheeling but it was nice to get the truck out on some dirt!

Went up to four peaks today, cool seeing all the washes and runoffs flowing with water.

Some dude in a jeep went up one of the washes that had probably a foot of water and got stuck a few hundred feet into it. I wanted to help to pull him out but would have for sure got stuck as well.

Will do seems like the bulk of folks started in March thinking sometime early to mid April.

RE your other post there's a guy named Bruce set up on Freeman road down near that area stays there for 60 days providing magic for hikers. If I didn't have dinner plans tonight I would have headed down there

In the horse trailer, got the counter cut, sink dropped in and plumbing hooked up, made an access panel to the plumbing and water pump as well.
