This is how it should have been handled. I mean 30 dollars or so for another set to make things right is not a loss to the company. Then if the second set didn't work out it would come to the issue of no refund/no new product, at which point it would show the company at least tried.

I get the warranty question - but neither you me or the vendor knows if this guy has some Armor All'ed up dash that's not going to take. Again - I've said just give this guy a 2nd set and be done with it. It's so petty. But you're assuming the customer is doing everything correctly - as outsiders we have to be impartial. I'm looking at the stickers the guy sent back and I'm skeptical he knows what he's doing. But again, not offering to do anything for him is also wrong.

The fact is, we know many other customers have used this product without issue and here comes this guy and it's a big failure. Maybe it's him, maybe it's a defective product. Nobody knows for sure.

Just to point out a recent situation with another vendor... @mesojdm had an issue with his coin holder...that dude remade a whole slew of these things correctly, paid to reship to everyone who purchased one...how was this received by customers? Unprompted, People were offering to kick in a few bucks to help cover the cost because they were so impressed how everything was handled. Talk about night and day...in a world where you get what you deserve, I hope @mesojdm makes big stacks and @tcmbst gets scratched out. Come out here and say you were wrong. At least a step in the right direction.

It’s a brand new truck. I Have not used any protectant on the interior. I’ve also never had problems before with stickers not sticking until this.

Perhaps, if I may scratch the surface a bit, Tacoma Beast was not ready for prime time?

So strange. Unless the dealer secretly did it before you got the truck, could just be a faulty batch of 3M tape or they were mishandled on TCMBST's end which caused them to not stick properly.

Doesn’t matter, PayPal refunded OP’s money, so Tacoma Bitch ate the money anyway.

Let’s please differentiate between a return policy and a warranty. Two completely different things. You are quoting the return policy when this is a warranty situation. I guess in theory a company could say they don’t warranty their products but if you sell someone a defective product the law is not on your side.

Who cares what condition used stickers are in that a customer returned because he says they are defective? What’s he supposed to do, line them up on the original backing that any normal person throws away right after installation, I mean come ON my man please.

Ohh all the puns cut deep. Did anyone read CBI's response?

"We at CBI Offroad Fab believe strongly in abiding by a strict code of conduct and ethics while off-roading; we subscribe to the conventions of Tread Lightly and Leave No Trace Behind. We would like to make our statement public as supporting the integrity of trails and the overall health of the natural condition around us.
    -
It has been brought to our attention that while on a trip through Moab, Utah over the weekend of March 3rd, one of our dealers was involved in an activity that violated these strict beliefs. Concerning this incident involving the defacing of public lands, we were in no way involved. We do not want to make accusations, however, we do want to set in stone our stance that we do not support or condone any activity that causes harm to the trail or that can cast a negative shadow over the off-road community as a whole.
    -
Being as involved in the off-road community as we are, we understand the difficulties associated with keeping these delicate trails open. We all hold the responsibility as recreational travelers to “leave it better than we found it”. We do not excuse the behavior of defacement or vandalism in any way and want to set a precedence of respect for all public and private lands."

If you take the OP’s story at face value, how in the hell is he not handling it well? He got stickers that don’t stick and he returned them, and then came here to gripe about the bad customer service he got. And the problem is...?

Yes you are right, and I would imagine had OP purchased direct from Tufskinz he would have had a much better experience.
Although, the warranty statement says "Damage to our kit or to the surface it is being applied to at the time of or following the installation is the responsibility of the installer and not the responsibility of Tuf Skinz." This is a difficult situation because only the OP knows how the material was handled during install and only OP knows if the surface was cleaned properly before attempting the install, which is why tufskinz warrranty is worded the way it is.
As I said before, the right thing to do would be simply send another kit and be done with the situation, but TCMBST did not do that. They chose to be jerks about it and that is bad business. Looking around at their website it looks as if most of the products are from other vendors, so basically they are a one stop shop for the convenience factor. I would rather order from several different manufacturers just to avoid situations like this, and with the bad rep @tcmbst has now, it's going to take a lot to redeem themselves when the business model is not a necessity.

I will not be purchasing from TacomaBeast and I will not let my friends purchase from them without warning them of the companies business strategies. I don’t feel that this was handled fairly and i feel that it was a very small and reasonable request from the customer. There are so many companies out there working tirelessly and endlessly to put their customers 1st and take care of reasonable and even sometime unreasonable requests. I did not see an effort on tacomabeasts part that would in any way compare them to other hard working companies selling the same products TCM BST sells.

I'm an adult and reasonably intelligent. I know how to properly clean a surface and then apply an adhesive product. It's pretty simple and probably very hard to mess up. I am a perfectionist and was very careful and thorough applying the kit. My truck is brand new so why all of the pieces did not properly adhere and starting coming loose after only a couple of days is anyone's guess. I bet it's multiple factors at play. Even if there was some degree of operator error in pressing an adhesive product to a plastic surface without touching the sticky side- how do you get that part so wrong? My hands were washed, I didn't touch the sticky part and applied firm pressure and repressed surfaces to make sure. I don't know how old the products were/how they were stored until they reached me and if there was a manufacturing difference among kits. I don't know if a brand new truck with a plastic interior has stubborn undetectable residue leftover from molding and requires further off-gassing( new car smell) before things adhere well. I'm sure also because I own a dark colored truck, no tint, and live in Florida and park in direct sunlight all day the interior temperatures were very elevated softening the newly applied adhesive. I sent pictures of my problems with the kit coming loose to Tacomabeast and explained the issues I was having. They gave me a return authorization then denied the return two weeks after receiving the return stating used items can't be returned. Why give me a return authorization in the first place and make me pay shipping twice? My concerns had more to do with their customer service than their products. I am not perfect and don't expect the world to be. I could not come to a reasonable compromise or solution with the company and now it's over. I was refunded my full amount by Paypal.

I wonder what number, multiplied by the cost to refund your purchase, would equal the amount of business Tacoma Beast has lost due to this thread.

Dont think it is their customer service that has lost them the most business recently...
Just wanted to state that & "set it in stone" so to speak....

That is a bad move on their part. If you sent pictures then they knew what to expect, and really shouldn't have needed to have you send the product back. I don't think their business will last too much longer.
