    Mateo will be fine..... TB has their fingers in quite a few vendors.
    This is like buying a bag of cheetos from the corner liquor store that's stale, but within the expiration date. Who solves the issue, the liquor store owner who, 1 didn't make the cheetos, 2 didn't package the cheetos, or 3 transport the cheetos to his store. They just sell them and the package has a 1 800 number on it.
    Two wrongs don't make a right, but all things considered they will still be around as a company.

    Those customer service answers are directly from the China repertoire - apologize, don't help, and say it won't happen again.
    Same in the MFG bizness, when the bosses love those China suppliers.
